The Homestead Survival

I found a cute  Pie Press Cutters Set and use each different press mold to create different shapes. I just pressed the pie cutter on rolled out dough creating a bunch of individual pieces. I listed a few sets at the end of this post for you.

IMG_1687You can use your favorite pie crust recipe or buy pre made pie crust if your in a rush.

You can use your favorite canned pie filling as well.

The pie cutter mold do not need to be greased – they just pop out easily.

I then sliced dough into strips.
Then I picked up a strip and twisted it 3 times then pressing the strips on the edge of the pie crust.

I added multiple strips across the pie.
IMG_1705I added individual shapes and added a small amount of egg whites wash on the dough shape if I added a second shape… layering.

I added a egg white only wash to the top of the dough only.
